PROBLEM

  • A deteriorated 24″ reinforced concrete sewer line
  • Project site included contaminated soil which could not be disturbed

SOLUTION

Lee Supply provided on-site certified fusion technicians and a trailer including:

  • Large diameter McElroy fusion equipment (from our rental fleet)
  • All necessary inserts for the different size pipes
  • Only three access pits were required
  • During the pipe bursting process a percussion head was used to fracture the pipe
  • An expander head eliminated the remains of the existing line allowing 1400′ of 32″ HDPE pipe to be pulled through

IMPACT TO CUSTOMER

  • The community got a sewer line with increased flow for future services with little to no disturbance of the environmentally sensitive area
